May 30, 2010 THANK YOU EVERYONE for your support in the 2010 Bondage Awards!! I would like to thank all of you on behalf of Scarlet Witch and all of our contributors and henchmen (and women), writers and artists, for your continued support. Honestly with the new voting format that was in place for this year, I was thinking we would be lucky to place in the top 10, considering that The Wizard's Lair is primarily a fansite of the superheroine in distress genre, and not a bondage web site, per se (though, there is ALOT of bondage to be found here!!). I am very gratified, and humbled, by everyone's support. Thank you, again! Alright, now on to the good stuff!! Two more pages of material by Syncro ... as well as new material by Tommy Boy , and the AntiLeaf . Lastly, a nice 'thank you' above to all of you from Scarlet Witch!

December 12, 2008 December 18 will mark the 12th year that the Wizard's Lair has been on the web (since 1997). So, will take this moment to thank all my contributors, all the visitors of this site, all the fans of this genre, and especially my most able and extremely talented assistant Scarlet Witch , without whom this page would not exist! (Literally, since there is no way would do all this by myself). The first Fame/Favorites page has some new birthday wishes to the Lair, as well as a Christmas greeting. New material by The AntiLeaf ... Piston Thorn ... and The Third Thane . Larie & Aemi have funished off their Wonder Woman: Metro City serial. Speaking of A-Emi , he has sent in five (5!!) new pages of material starting here . Syncro has sent in two more pages of my abusing Wonder Woman starting here (with 2 special 'guests' to join her at the end). My buddy Spade has sent me a little mini-story to celebrate the Lair's birthday with Supergirl ! Guest...

Wow. And, double wow! Last year was, what I thought, a fluke when The Wizard's Lair took the silver in the Bondage Awards 'Best Free Bondage Website'. But, this year, with the number of people that had been nominated, I thought I would be lucky if we broke the Top Ten. And, truth be known, I was increasingly skeptical of even making that threshold. Indeed, I was so skeptical of our chances, that I really did not advertise the contest as I did last year. And, reading from those running the contest that there were more people nominated, and more people voting this year, and that The Wizard's Lair was at the bottom of a very long list, I thought that our chances were slim and none. Imagine my surprise when I was sent a number of congratulatory emails about not just placing, but taking the silver again. Well, I was even skeptical then, so went to the website to look for myself. Oh my goodness. Had a couple emails from my "Henchmen" contributors who...

Seems of late I have been reading quite a bit about the failure of some pay sites within the community are closing down. Some are putting the blame on peer-to-peer sites in general, while others are placing the blame on The Wizard ’ s Lair in particular. Now, without knowing the financial specifics of each and every website that is closing down and/or losing money, how can anyone place any blame on any one thing in particular, or even accuse a single website, it ’ s webmaster, and it ’ s contributors for contributing to the financial decline of these sites? When I look around, I see that everyone is feeling the financial pinch, influenced largely by the (ever) rising cost of fuel, which has a cascading effect on everything from car sales, to food costs. People all over are doing everything that they can to save money, from driving less, to canceling vacations, and to eliminating discretionary expenses, of which would include memberships to websites. Well... not really "new".... Been doing a bit of stuff with my Flickr account . If people have been keeping up with me there, you will see that I will upload a ton of images, which will then disappear, to be replaced by even more eye-candy. Well, will tell you a secret. Those other images have NOT disappeared. No, what I have done is moved them to my PRIVATE area, where only FRIENDS will have access to them. Now, these will not be 360 friends, but of Flickr friends, which are of a different sort, I suppose. Within Flickr there are several settings. There is PUBLIC and there is PRIVATE. Within the private section, there are 3 settings. Private that only myself can see... Private that only Friends can see.. and Private of which only Family can see. Much of what I have is of the Private, Friends Only type. That means, that if you want to see material that I had to pull from The Lair (for example, A-Emi's work), you will have to join up Flickr (it's free, don't wo...

*sighs... thinking of peaceful settings.... * Okay... first, I want to thank those that have written to me to ask me how my health is. That is very kind and thoughtful of you all. I really do appreciate your concern. Thank you :) Now then, PLEASE be aware that I DO have a life outside the Wizard's Lair!! I have a family and a girlfriend and a job, that mean just as much to me, and even more so, then making sure that the Lair is full of fresh and new things on a weekly basis. Indeed, if you read my FAQ section , the first thing you will see is that I shoot for a MONTHLY update. That said, we at the Lair do update more often, especially now that I have the help of the very lovely and gracious Scarlet Witch! But please do be aware that she also has her own life outside of the Lair and that her own updates are as chaotic as mine. Though with both of us posting up together, we have been averaging an update every week or so, which is much more then most pay sites! And when you consid...
